Amouage
Amouage, founded in 1983 by the Sultan of Oman, was born out of His Highness Sayyid Hamad bin Hamoud al bu Said’s dream to restore the great Arabian art of perfumery to the region. The luxury perfume house draws inspiration from traditional Middle Eastern ingredients such as agarwood, incense, musk, rose, and spices, blending them with the expertise of perfumers from major fragrance and flavor houses around the world.
Amouage’s fragrances are housed in iconic bottles, each reflecting the rich cultural heritage of Oman. Women’s fragrance bottles are inspired by the shape of the Palace Ruwi Mosque in Muscat, while the men’s bottles are designed to resemble the Khanjar, Oman’s traditional dagger. Amouage has maintained its status as a leader in luxury perfumery, working with a wide range of celebrated perfumers over the years, including Jean-Claude Ellena, Bertrand Duchaufour, Cécile Zarokian, and Alberto Morillas.
