Rococo Pie by Sarah Baker: An Unconventional Delight
Written by Kristina Kybartaite-Damule
After the huge success of last year’s release from Sarah Baker, Peach’s Revenge, two more peach-focused perfumes have joined the trilogy. One of them is Rococo Pie – perhaps the most elegant of the three, yet irresistibly delicious and playful.

Peach’s Revenge, launched in 2024, was one of those perfumes everyone was talking about. An uncompromising peach was layered with sweet caramel, amaretto, lots of vanilla, and spices. This gourmand-leaning composition was infused with musk and amber, and as it developed on the skin, it turned slightly carnal – a clear sign that this cheeky sweet temptation was not meant for children. It was so unexpected, unique, and well-executed that it left no one indifferent.
Later that same year, the Peach Trilogy was unveiled, with master perfumer Chris Maurice continuing to explore new shades and tastes of peach through Rococo Pie and Pastel Rumours. Initially, the trio was available only as a set of 30 ml bottles, but this year, the two new additions became available individually in the brand’s standard packaging.
I had the pleasure of experiencing the trio before its official launch, in September, in Cannes. I remember my first impression vividly – just when you thought peach couldn’t get any more delicious, Mr. Maurice served up two new flavorful interpretations, each better than the other. I honestly enjoyed both, but Rococo Pie eventually became my number one.

While peach is still present in this composition, here it hides inside a dessert. That’s exactly what you get – a creamy, sweet, zesty peach cake. The opening is so vibrant and realistic, it feels like I could taste it.
Imagine a soft, creamy peach cake with a citrus filling, dusted with coconut flakes. Beside it sits a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream. Just smelling this perfume makes me forget every “get-ready-for-summer” diet and all those “no-more-sugar-ever” promises – it makes me want a massive, creamy peach tart, right here, right now.
As Rococo Pie evolves on the skin, it becomes less sweet. Like in Peach’s Revenge, there are warm touches of amber and musk, but they’re much softer here and don’t turn into a sensual direction. Instead, they feel powdery and refined, blending beautifully with dreamy, creamy sandalwood.

To me, Rococo Pie is the grown-up, put-together sister of the other two in the trilogy. Still, it keeps an intriguing and playful twist – you just need to know how to read what hides behind its mischievous eyes.
Lately, gourmand fragrances have been incredibly popular. Many brands seemed to chase the trend, offering sweet, edible temptations... but often ended up repeating one another, becoming even boring. Sarah Baker’s gourmand trio, however, offers a fresh, unconventional take on sweet fragrances: unique, playful, and deeply satisfying.
