Lucid Dream by Reinvented Parfums: Into the Velvet Air

Written by Ally Santos

Lucid Dream was first previewed at Esxence Milan 2025, tucked within that vibrant, dizzying fair of discovery and imagination. I brought home a decant vial, just a small amount to savor and I finished it in less than a month. That’s how much it drew me in. Finally, this June, the brand released it to the world.

Reinvented Parfums is a house that doesn’t chase trends. Their creations feel like little invitations to step inward, to pause, to notice. Each fragrance is crafted as a narrative, both personal and poetic, where wearers are meant to linger and reflect. Lucid Dream continues this philosophy, balancing subtlety with intensity, clarity with mystery.

Created by Cristian Calabrò and Charlotte Jullien, Lucid Dream opens in a burst of color. Raspberry and plum shimmer against a golden thread of saffron, fruity and spiced at once, like the first flicker of a vivid dream. Then comes the heart: rose and white blossom bloom softly, while saffron resurfaces with more depth, creating a floral-spiced tapestry that feels both grounded and weightless. The base lingers long after; patchouli’s richness, oud’s shadowy depth, and the creamy smoothness of sandalwood. Together they create a texture that feels like velvet draped over still air.

Wearing Lucid Dream feels like entering a twilight space between waking and sleeping. I imagine it on quiet evenings, after the day’s chaos has faded, when the sky outside is indigo and the only light is the warm glow of a lamp. It works best in reflective solitude or intimate moments, when you want to feel connected to yourself but also touched by something beyond.

On a personal note, Lucid Dream quickly became my secret indulgence. It felt like discovering a garden hidden away just for me, a place I could return to again and again without tiring of its quiet magic. My evenings often ended with a spritz, a playlist humming softly, and a book in my lap, as if the fragrance itself whispered, “stay a little longer.”

And the story doesn’t end here. Reinvented Parfums has another creation on the horizon: Enigmatic Aura, set to launch this fall. If Lucid Dream taught me anything, it’s that their work has the power to stir both memory and imagination and I’m just as eager to step into the next chapter.
