Walking through the Paris streets, you can find a new beautiful place decorated in an art-deco style.

At 83 boulevard Malesherbes, in the 8th arrondissement, a new door has softly opened. Behind it is the very first flagship boutique of NV Creations, and the first physical home of Neela Vermeire’s perfume universe. No loud announcement, no grand opening noise. Just Paris doing what it does best: revealing beauty quietly, to those who pay attention.

I visited the boutique a few days after its soft opening. The space is small, cozy, and intimate — the kind of place that invites you to slow down and take time to experience and breathe. Neela tells me that creating the space from scratch took six months, and you can feel that care in every detail. It doesn’t feel like a store in the classic sense. It feels more like being welcomed into someone’s personal world.

What makes this place truly special is Neela Vermeire herself. In the boutique, she presents the perfumes personally. She tells the stories behind each creation, in her own words. Not through a script, not through marketing language, but from memory, emotion, and lived experience. You hear the inspirations directly from the first mouth — travels, encounters, moments that shaped each fragrance. It’s rare, and it feels honest.

Alongside the perfumes, Neela is also expanding her creative repertoire. She is now collaborating with a designer to offer handmade cashmere scarves, as well as silk Kantha embroidery, originating from the region she comes from. Each piece is uniquely designed, and some of them take up to 30 days to make. They are beautiful, tactile objects, created with the same care and patience that defines her approach to perfumery. Still, somehow they feel like a natural extension of the brand, not a distraction from it.

The boutique doesn’t try to impress with size or spectacle. In a city full of perfume temples and luxury flagships, this small space feels refreshingly human. It reminds you that perfume, at its core, is about storytelling, emotion, and connection.
