Recalling my wanderings through the streets of Paris a few years ago, I was surrounded by stylish individuals, inviting aromas wafting from patisseries, and luxurious fragrances emanating from high-end boutiques. Amidst all the glamour, hidden gems like cozy cafes exclusive to locals and a tango bar, where even the non-dancers swayed with uninhibited passion, added depth to the city's charm. Paris had etched itself permanently in my heart.

Whether fueled by my yearning for Paris or the enticing notes listed, I was compelled to experience this fragrance.

The scent unfolds with a boozy burst of spices and white flowers, accompanied by a tempting hint of rum that captivates and beckons further exploration. Within minutes, the fragrance evolves, revealing the subtle presence of honey. The honey note can be tricky, often veering into excessive sweetness, medicinal qualities, or a waxy texture. However, in this composition, the honey takes a unique direction, providing just the right amount of sweetness for a gourmand touch without overwhelming the senses. On the skin, it exudes a slightly earthy and even animalic aroma, possibly influenced by its interaction with oud. Remarkably, it maintains a perfect equilibrium between the joyful notes of Orange Blossom and Jasmine and the deeper, woody accords.

The composition culminates with a sensuous vanilla base, offering a perfect conclusion to a virtual stroll through the streets of Paris, reminiscent of a comforting sip and a delightful crème brûlée.

For me, this fragrance encapsulates a glamorous ambiance – envision a little black dress, a pearl necklace, cherry-red lips, and a playful wave in the hair. Voyage à Paris stands as the perfect complement to such an ensemble, a versatile fragrance that equally captivates on men.

Crafted by the French perfumer Kevin Mathys, known for creations like Kajal III, Kajal IV, and Patchouli of the Underworld from Electimuss (another enchanting, sensual fragrance), his narrow yet impressive portfolio suggests promising future hits.

In the meantime, I savor the pleasure of Voyage à Paris, considering it one of Fragrance du Bois's finest recent releases.
