Sisters B4 Misters by Jusbox: A Fragrance That Spices Up Nostalgia
Written by Ally Santos
June 17 felt less like a workday and more like a pop culture playdate. Picture this: a sunny midday gathering with perfume-loving friends, where the dress code was “bring your bestie to work,” and the vibe was pure ‘90s joy.

That was the mood at the NYC event for the launch of Sisters B4 Misters, the latest drop from Italian fragrance house Jusbox. And yes, it’s a tribute to the girl group that taught us all to zig-a-zig-ah: the Spice Girls.
Created by perfumer Nelly Hachem-Ruiz of IFF, Sisters B4 Misters is loud, proud, and deeply emotional, much like the five women who inspired it. Each note was designed to reflect a different Spice Girl’s personality: ginger captures their punchy, bold attitude (Ginger Spice); lime brings a fresh, energetic, and sporty vibe (Sporty Spice); iris adds elegance and refinement (Posh Spice); sugared milk evokes carefree sweetness and innocence (Baby Spice); and amber delivers warmth, confidence, and quiet strength (Scary Spice).
The scent opens with a sharp, juicy pop of lime, ginger, and blackcurrant; like walking into a room where your favorite song is already playing. Then it gets fun: banana and strawberry swirl together with delicate floral touches of iris and lily of the valley. The drydown is cozy, creamy, and a little addictive, with amber and sandalwood wrapped in a smooth milky accord.

It’s theatrical in the best way. Jusbox calls it a performance, and it’s easy to see why: this fragrance has stage lights, fan screams, and platform boots baked right into its DNA. But beyond the nostalgia, it also feels current — a reminder that bold friendship and self-expression never go out of style.
Jusbox is an Italian fragrance house founded by siblings Andrea and Viero Valdo, known for translating iconic moments in music history into scent. From jazz to grunge to electronic, each fragrance in the Jusbox lineup tells a story about a specific sound and era. Their creations blend olfactory artistry with pop culture references, resulting in scents that feel both emotional and cinematic. Meeting Andrea Valdo at the event made it all the more personal — it’s clear the brand isn’t just about perfume. It’s about moments, movements, and music that still move us.
With Sisters B4 Misters, Jusbox captures the spirit of a generation that wore glitter unapologetically, fought for girl power, and believed in friendship as a superpower. It’s a scent for anyone who’s ever screamed the lyrics to “Wannabe” in a hairbrush — and for the grown-up version of that girl, still dancing, still loud, still choosing sisters first.
