1. Passion Island - Mes Bisous
This fragrance immediately caught my attention with its vibrant opening and seamless transition to a deep, elegant dry-down. It’s a perfect blend of passionfruit, juicy mango and bright citrus with lime in the background that balances sophistication with wearability. A masterpiece by a talented perfumer Ozge Erdogmus Altinel from EPS Fragrance. A perfect everyday signature scent. Whether it’s for a special occasion or an everyday signature, this one left a lasting impression. Available by the end of December through Maxaroma and Scenthouse.
2. Ethereal Soul - Reinvented Parfums

A true gem among the crowd, this scent is a masterful composition of berries. It stood out for its bold yet comforting profile. A luminous composition that intertwines cherry, liqueur-like notes, musk, and amber. The fragrance is both modern and comforting, blending warm balsamic amber with an exquisite lightness. This fragrance opens with a luscious burst of blackcurrant, cherry and raspberry, creating a mouth weathering blend of juicy sweetness and tart vibrancy. The blackcurrant brings a slightly tangy, almost green nuance, while the raspberry adds a playful, jam-like richness that feels both indulgent and refreshing.
The fragrance begins to settle, these bright fruity tones slowly give way to a warmer, spicier heart, where subtle spices and florals emerge, adding depth and intrigue. The transformation is seamless, as the base notes of amber, patchouli and creamy woods begin to take center stage. These grounding elements wrap the initial brightness in a velvety, sensuous warmth, evoking a cozy, comforting feeling. The spiciness lingers softly, intertwining with the sweetness in a way that’s both sophisticated and addictive, making the fragrance evolve beautifully over time into a perfect balance of vibrant energy and smoldering elegance. Yet, another masterful creation of Ozge Erdogmus Altinel. Available Online (Fragrancecult, Scentsplit and Fragrapedia) and In Store (Osswald NY, La Jetee Orlando/ Nashville, ZGO San Francisco, HDYS Miami)
3. Velvet Whisper - Azha Perfume
One of the most unique discoveries this year, Velvet Whisper feels like a breath of fresh air. It’s a fragrance that takes you on a multi-dimensional journey, combining the refreshing tang of blackcurrant, sorbet, and pepper with the delicate heart of rose and comforting vanilla. As it settles, warm, grounding base notes of patchouli, cashmere wood, and musk create a tranquil and elegant finish. Velvet Whisper is part of the Mémoire Collection from Azha Perfume, a collection inspired by memories, capturing love, joy, and serenity in a scent. Available in early January 2025
4. Cashmere Oud - Habibi New York
This fragrance was love at first sniff. It opens with a beautiful burst of spicy pink pepper and sweet smoky fig, followed by a heart of oud, jasmine and saffron that feels both luxurious and comforting. The base of silky vetiver, sandalwood and amber lingers with incredible depth and warmth. It’s the kind of fragrance that turns heads and leaves an unforgettable trail—perfect for those who want to feel confident and effortlessly chic. A great date night or special occasion scent. Habibi NY is a house I am truly in love with; most of their offerings are rooted with deep cultural phenomena. Available now on Habibiny.com or Bloomingdales NJ
5. Lost in Paris - Roja
A fragrance so luxurious and intoxicating, it completely threw me off in the best way possible. At $1,300 a bottle (plus tax, depending on where you’re from), this scent is undeniably an indulgence. Lost in Paris is one of those fragrances that lingers in your mind long after you’ve smelled it. Opens as a vibrant and playful, bursting with bright mandarin, blood orange, rum, and bitter orange, creating a cocktail of citrus and warmth that draws you in instantly.
The real indulgence begins in the heart notes with rich, buttery caramel and sugar taking center stage, a sweet, almost dessert-like comfort that’s elevated rather than cloying. It’s gourmand, yes, but in a Roja Dove way—refined and luxurious. As the fragrance settles, the base unfolds into something sensual and complex. Musk, cashmere wood, and vanilla lay the foundation, while spicy notes of clove, pink pepper, and cinnamon add depth. The addition of cedarwood and ambergris ties it all together with a smooth, creamy finish that feels opulent yet effortlessly wearable. It’s sweet, but not too sweet; warm, but never heavy. It’s the kind of fragrance that feels like a treat—one you wear when you want to feel confident, bold, and unapologetically luxurious. Available in Saks, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and other Major Retail Stores
This year has been a year full of discovery for me. I've had the privilege of attending some of the biggest fragrance events around the world—from Milan Esxence to Dubai Beautyworld. Yet, ScentXplore remains my favorite. It’s a gathering of a passionate community of fragrance enthusiasts who share a deep love for the art of perfumery. There’s something truly special about being surrounded by people who not only appreciate scents but live and breathe them. I loved hearing people reminisce about childhood memories triggered by certain scents, and the excitement that fills the air as people talk about their favorite notes like musk, vanilla and sandalwood. Fragrance has this unique ability to bring people together and spark conversations about memories and experiences, and ScentXplore does an incredible job of fostering that environment.
If you’re based in the United States or even abroad, ScentXplore is a must-attend event for anyone who loves niche perfumery. I’m already looking forward to ScentXplore 2025—see you.
