Agatho Parfum Castiamanti: Enigmatic Luxury

Castiamanti, meaning "The House of Chaste Lovers," conjures images of enchantment, intrigue, and sensuality.

The fragrance opens with a powerful burst of saffron and a striking touch of myrtle. It exudes a spicy, slightly sweet, and mysteriously dark aroma. This heavy spiciness draws a picture in my mind of the streets of Palermo a couple of hundred years ago. The streets, where passing by the drogheria, you can smell saffron, rare and precious as gold. Where children play at the coast of the sea, and the streets are full of drama about forbidden love. Imagine a scene from "The Lions of Sicily“ – this is what I start imagining smelling this skilful opening of Castiamanti.

As the scent unfolds, a subtle hint of honey emerges, delicately enveloping the deep red rose petals. The rose note is captivating, exuding a mature and sumptuous essence.

Additionally, a hint of jasmine can be detected in the background, lending a gentle floral undertone to the composition.

The next layer of the fragrance lies in its base notes. It boasts a resinous, smoky, and weighty character. Elegant labdanum, luxurious oud, frankincense, and a hint of vanilla interplay to create a captivating aroma. The smokiness intertwines with the saffron, persisting throughout the scent experience and resulting in a truly remarkable fragrance.

There's nothing short in this creation; it's outstanding with its prosperity of lavish ingredients.

Castiamanti, as a perfume, makes a bold statement. Its heaviness may not suit everyone's taste, as just a spray or two can fill the room and last for hours. However, for those who appreciate rich, smoky, and resinous fragrances, I highly recommend giving it a try. It exudes quality, uniqueness, and undeniable allure.
