Meet the New Limited Fragrance from Gallivant: Nida

For our summer 2024 dose of perfumed escapism, we’re off to NIDA, an artists’ colony & summer retreat on the uniquely beautiful Curonian Spit, a UNESCO World Heritage site off the amber-rich Baltic coastline of Lithuania.
Our first ever parfum presented in a limited edition specially decorated bottle. Launching globally 8 May 2024.
GALLIVANT is an award-winning independent perfume-maker from London, founded and created by Nick Steward.
“Our collection is inspired by the emotions of travel and wanderlust. I think of our fragrances as escapism in a bottle.”
Nida by GALLIVANT is composed with Barcelona-based perfumer Soïzic Beaucourt.
“Nida has long been the summer retreat of writers - including Nobel Prize winner Thomas Mann – artists and musicians. The Curonian Peninsula is a summer nesting place and an important bird migration route – inspiring our limited edition decorated bottle.
For me, its allure is the unique location, surrounded by water and nature. Peace and tranquillity. The beauty of a simpler, slower life and simple pleasures”, says founder Nick Steward.

The perfume: A tea-infused floral amber, in parfum concentration. Opening with mandarin, cardamon and incense.
Heart notes: tea, lilac, jasmine, violet, orris and a sunflower accord.
And the base is constructed around cedarwood, patchouli, moss, tolu, and a respectful nod to our Baltic location: a radiant amber accord.
The creators: For the creation of the Nida parfum, founder Nick Steward worked with Barcelona-based perfumer Soïzic Beaucourt.
A graduate from the renowned ISIPCA school in France and now working at Eurofragance, she’s a kindred spirit and avid traveller.
Says Soïzic: “My curiosity to better understand our sense of smell also translates into my attraction for the unknown. I’m always eager to discover new places, explore innovative processes and experiment with unique raw materials. As an insatiable explorer, I like to be on the move.”
“When I discovered Soïzic’s style, I was particularly impressed by the elegance, joyfulness and clarity of her compositional hand-writing- it took me back to a golden age of high-quality artisanal perfumery”, adds Nick.
Nida by GALLIVANT is compounded in Barcelona, Spain and then hand- finished in England, in a genuinely artisanal, small-batch, human process.
