Nathalie Feisthauer
Nathalie Feisthauer’s passion for scent began with a single fragrance—Opium by Yves Saint Laurent—a revelation that set her on the path to becoming a perfumer. In 1983, she became the first student without a family background in perfumery to train at the prestigious Roure (now Givaudan) Perfumery School in Grasse. She later moved to New York, where her career took off at Estée Lauder, immersing her in a dynamic, cosmopolitan creative environment. Over three decades, she became a leading perfumer at Givaudan and Symrise, crafting fragrances for both luxury brands like Hermès and Cartier and bold niche houses like Etat Libre d’Orange.
In 2014, Feisthauer launched her own independent studio, LAB Scent, in Montmartre, embracing full creative freedom. Her work now spans over 30 countries, composing for exclusive niche brands. She has received numerous accolades, including the FIFI Perfumer of the Year award in 2019 and multiple honors for her niche creations with Nomenclature, Sous le Manteau, Burdin, and L'Orchestre Parfum.
Master Perfumer Nathalie Feisthauer has spent around 40 years shaping the fragrance world, creating perfumes for both niche houses and global brands. From her early breaking into the secretive industry to establishing her own independent studio in Montmartre, her journey is one of passion, talent, and hard work.
