Bertrand Duchaufour
Bertrand Duchaufour, a French perfumer, began his career in 1985 at Lautier Florasynth in Grasse before refining his craft at Créations Aromatiques and Symrise. His first signed fragrance, Amber & Lavender for Jo Malone, was released in 1995. Over the years, he has collaborated with prestigious brands such as Penhaligon's, Acqua di Parma, Comme des Garçons, Givenchy, and Christian Dior, establishing himself as a major force in the fragrance world.
In 2008, Duchaufour transitioned into independent perfumery, becoming the in-house perfumer for L’Artisan Parfumeur for a decade, where he created iconic scents like Timbuktu, Dzongkha, Nuit de Tubéreuse, and Fleur de Liane. He later collaborated with niche brands including Aedes De Venustas, MDCI Parfums, The Vagabond Prince, and Neela Vermeire Creations. Known for his mastery of incense and complex compositions, his work continues to shape contemporary niche perfumery.
