Nishane Tuberóza X: Modern Reinterpretation of Iconic Floral
Written by Kristina Kybartaite-Damule
Ten years ago, Nishane launched Tuberóza – a floral ambery fragrance added to their Blossom Collection. Now, working with Master Perfumer Dominique Ropion, the brand introduces a new version of this fragrance: Tuberóza X, which is more carnal, sensual, and refined.
The new fragrance joins The X Collection, dedicated to reinterpreting the brand's iconic scents, in celebration of Nishane's 10th anniversary. Introduced in 2023, the collection featured new versions of five worldwide bestsellers: Hundred Silent Ways, Ani, Fan Your Flames, Wulong Cha, and Hacivat. This year, Tuberóza X joins the group, paying homage to the remarkable white floral composition.
While in the original Tuberóza, the sumptuous tuberose played with other white flowers like jasmine, orange blossom, and gardenia, in the new version, Ylang-Ylang receives more attention. This bold accord of a juicy yellow flower adds fruitiness and sweetness to the scent, giving it a more rounded feel.
Indian Tuberose is further enhanced by a lipsticky accord and violet, imparting a carnal and sensual vibe. The powdery violet makes the scent greener than the original, evoking the sensation of wandering through a field of tuberose as dusk slowly descends. Perhaps it's reminiscent of a romantic first date, culminating in a bashful kiss?..
Tuberose remains the main star in this fragrance, as expected from the name. It gracefully dances with all the complementing notes through every phase of fragrance development: from a slightly citrusy opening, to a powdery and seductive center, and finally to an ambery, creamy base.
The fragrance exudes luxury, as is customary for Nishane. They have managed to reinterpret tuberose in a new, unexpected, modern way while retaining the flower's best qualities.
For me, I was fascinated with the fragrance from the very first encounter, enjoying how it smelled on my skin, how it projected, and how it lingered on my clothes. Yes, it is a potent scent that lasts for hours, yet it never becomes too heavy; it remains well-balanced. And yes, I was pleased that the very first time I wore it, I immediately received compliments and inquiries about what the fragrance was.
