The brand was founded by a perfume connoisseur Neela Vermeire. Created in collaboration with Bertrand Duchaufour, the perfumes joins together the Eastern heritage of the founder and contemporary French classic. Based on high quality materials, the fragrances smell rich, classy, and luxurious.

Currently, Neela Vermeire Creations has 8 fragrances in the collection. Listed by my personal preferences:

8. Pichola

Perfumer: Bertrand Duchaufour

Release year: 2015

Price (03/2024): €235/60ml

This fragrance is spicy bouquet of white flowers. Along with cardamom, cinnamon and precious saffron, tuberose is very present here. Hints of jasmine, orange blossom, and some rose make the scent bright and clean. To my nose, leans more feminine. Season: spring/summer

7. Rahele

Perfumer: Bertrand Duchaufour

Release year: 2016

Price (03/2024): €235/60ml

A very pretty floral fragrance. Again, with cinnamon and cardamom, there come flowers, but this time the fragrance goes to more powdery direction. Violet leaf, orris, osmanthus, rose - this bouquet makes the fragrance very mature and refined. To my nose, leans more feminine. Season: spring/summer

6. Mohur

Perfumer: Bertrand Duchaufour

Release year: 2012

Price (03/2024): €235/60ml

This composition will be a delight for a rose lovers. High quality rose is blended together with elemi resin, spices, almind some iris and violet. In the base there is a slighlty animalic hint of oud and leather, making this fragrance darker and more suitable for evening. Still, because of the added flowers and lots of different spices, this fragrance is not an ordinary rose-oud fragrance. It will be easier to wear even to those, who don’t usually wear ouds. To my nose, leans more feminine. Season: all year

5. Niral

Perfumer: Bertrand Duchaufour

Release year: 2018

Price (03/2024): €255/60ml

A powdery, very rich floral fragrance. Sparkles of champagne, a vivid magnolia makes the powdery iris more alive. Dusty leather and creamy sandalwood adds the weight to the scent. It is heavier than the other florals from the house, and it might be challenging to some because of the slight animalic vibe, yet to me, it smells amazing and unique. To my nose, leans more feminine. Season: fall/winter

4. Bombay Bling!

Perfumer: Bertrand Duchaufour

Release year: 2012

Price (03/2024): €235/60ml

This fragrance is bright and joyous. Tropical fruits like mango and litchi, frangipani, ylang-ylang makes the scent very summery and relaxed. Still, it has touches of tobacco, there is a woody accord added, making it “more serious”. The sandalwood in the base makes it creamier, and on the skin, it works just like magic. Bombay Bling! tells a story about a modern India, therefore is exotic, yet somehow familiar. To my nose, perfectly unisex. Season: spring/summer

3. Mohur Extrait

Perfumer: Bertrand Duchaufour

Release year: 2014

Price (03/2024): €400/50ml

This is a familiar rose from the original Mohur, but the composition is much more rounded, softer, without sharp edges of oud and leather. These dark notes are still here but they are quieter, the animalic feeling is gone. The scent is a bit louder than the original, the rose is more juicy, and the overall impression is brighter. The rose is still a star of the show, but shares the scene with spices and oud, and other flowers, making it very attractive even to those who are not a huge fan of rose fragrances like myself. To my nose smells unisex. Season: fall/winter/spring

2. Trayee

Perfumer: Bertrand Duchaufour

Release year: 2012

Price (03/2024): €235/60ml

Trayee is the most warm and cozy fragrance from the collection. Lots of spices and resins make the fragrance irresistable. Elemi, myrrh, incense, softened with sandalwood, and sweetened with cinnamon, clove, and vanilla. It gives a little gourmandish vibe, reminds of festivities and cookies. It is sweet, and is perfect when you need something comforting. To my nose, perfectly unisex. Season: fall/winter

1. Ashoka

Perfumer: Bertrand Duchaufour

Release year: 2013

Price (03/2024): €235/60ml

This is a green, fresh, spicy woody fragrance. It is bright and joyous - fig leaves are blended with sunny mimosa and osmanthus. The soft sandalwood is strongly expressed here, which smells light and clean on the skin. The composition has some sweetness from tonka bean, which gives the cozy vibe and works fantastically with fig. To my mind, the scent might climb to the top of my favorite fig fragrances, as it is unique and has so much more happening than just a fig. To my nose, perfectly unisex. Season: spring, summer
